Solved - Brakes/ABS on 1150GSA not working - advice please

I had a controlled dismount in a little bit of mud this morning, in other words I fell over. No visible damage to the bike except for the fact that the brakes are no longer working and the ABS light keeps on flashing. The brakes will work if you pull the lever hard but the servo or pump or...

What is safer - laptop bag on back or on bike?

What do you guys think is safer, riding with a laptop bag on my back on strapping it to the pillion seat? If it is on my back it may act as a sort of spine protector in accident but then again the laptop may break up and skewer me so I'm not sure.

Well That Sucked - Gauteng Toy Run from Midrand

First of all let me say that I know it's for a good cause but as far as I'm concerned the Gauteng Toy Run from Midrand really sucked. This was my fourth one and what I remember from the previous ones that started in Pretoria was the massive amount of bikes at the start. I would be kilometers...

    Switched 12V on 1150GSA?

More thanks to Groenie and KLR Central

After upgrading to the 1150GSA I wanted to use the topbox from my 650GS so that I could save a few rands. After speaking to Groenie he made a bracket that would allow the topbox to be mounted on the GSA. The end result is great and the topbox fits perfectly. BMW recoded/rekeyed the topbox lock...

A Poll - Standing and your Centre of Gravity

As there seems to be a lot of confusion in biking circles about what happens to your centre of gravity when you stand while riding, I am interested in hearing what us WDs think.

Which tube to carry - front or rear?

If I carry only one spare tube with me on trips with my 650GS should it be the front or rear? The front one is 19" but is narrow so it would have to expand sideways to fit the wider rear. The rear is 17" so would have to be stretched to fit the front also the tube is bigger so it may be more...

Any suggestions for a cheap, light bike?

Mrs Zerc is interested in learning how to ride a bike and we were thinking of getting something that she could learn on as well as something I could play with in more technical areas.  Our requirements are light, cheapish, not too tall, preferably new as I don't want to worry too much about...
