I am planning a roadtrip and would like the input of those who have travelled these parts before to comment on which places to stay, what detours to take, and generally comment on things not to be missed.
The trip is mostly main tar roads, but I am going to see the countries and experience the cultures. (Once explored, i will go back for the gravel travels)
I will be camping or staying in B&B/lodge type of accommodation, depending on the town/village.
These are my days on the road, there will be rest days in between to enjoy the scenery as well.
Day 1: Cape town, N7, R27, Brandvlei, Keimoes (772km)
Day 2: Keimoes, Upington, N14, Kathu, Hotazel, R380, McCarthy’s Rest (451km)
Day 3: McCarthy’s Rest, A20, A2, Kang, Ghanzi (660km)
Day 4: Ghanzi, A3, Maun, Nata (589km)
Day 5: Nata, A33, Kazangula, M10, Livingstone (368km)

Day 8: Mkushi? T2, D53, Kapishya Hot Springs (469km)
Day 9: Kapishya, T2, Isoka, Malawi Kamene, Chitipa, M26, Karonga (438km)
Day 10: Karonga, M1, Livingstonia Mission, Chiweta, Nkata Bay (325km)
Day 11: Nkata Bay, M5, Nkhotakota (194km)
Day 12: Nkhotakota, M5, M14, Senga, M5, M10, Monkey Bay (306km)
Day 13: Monkey Bay, M10, M1, Lilongwe, M12, Chipata (346km)
Day 14: Chipata, T4, Katete, Lusaka (571km)
Day 15: Lusaka, T2, Livingstone (475km)
Day 16: :Livingstone, M10, Katima Mulilo, B8, Popa Falls (318km)
Day 17: Popa Falls, B8, Grootfontein, B1, Otjiwarongo (671km)
Day 18: Otjiwarongo, B1, Windhoek, Keetmanshoop (749km)
Day 19: Keetmanshoop, B1, N7, Cape town (966km)
Anyone stayed at a nice place between Lusaka and Kapishya, or should I try and do the 770km in one stretch and rather spend another rest day in the warm water?
