1200GS windshield to ADV mod

I bought my GS with the ADV shield on . I find it nice in the winter ,but it`t a bit tall for me and gets in the way on dirt ,obstructin my line of sight to the road directly onfront of me. What mods do I need to convert back to the GS screen, does it just screw back onto the same bracket ,the ADV one that`t on now or has the GS got another bracket ?
