Hi Guys!

I have started a while ago already and thought that I should start a thread for some info etc.

Just some points...

1. This will not be a cult thread in the case DigitalDan's XT rebuild.
2. This will not be a speedy rebuild like Pom's epic rebuild.
3. This will hopefully be done before Captain Slow's restoration is done ;D

Anyway - the TT is not high on my priority list (read limited funds) at the moment and I limited myself to only spend a certain undetermined amount of $$$ per month.

This will take some time so please bear with me (I'm talking months)

Anyway here we go:

Here the bike is in all its glory before the big-end went ka-boom!!!

I already dropped the motor a couple of months ago - gave it to a dude to fix it up. He did nothing for a very long time so took the motor back, phoned around for prices on parts, tracked down some parts, etc. etc.

Anyway here is the cylinder in its dirty form...

As you can see not pretty, not pretty at all...

The engine has been resprayed so many times it was a mess - will have to clean everything from top to bottom...

And after the cylinder has been cleaned...

Here is the new WISECO piston...

Took the cylinder in to get it resleeved today - might take a while - but its cool I'm in no rush (yet)

Till later

;D
