So 20k km service is fast approaching on my 2007 Dakar. Bmw charges R1700 for this service, not sure about
Runner &
Adventurer.

After reading everything there is to know for this service on the WD forum and Chain Gang, I think I am more than capable of doing the oil, filters, spark plugs, brake pads etc by myself but I don't want to risk doing the valve clearance (shims).

I don't know what I will be charged for only getting the valve clearance checked (R400?).

Wish I could just do it all at once as one needs to remove different things to get to the S-plugs etc and it will be ideal to do it all in 1 shot.

Anyone only got their Valve shims done & at what $?

Possible Cost

•Oilfilter - R85 (from BMW which includes copper crush washers, or at other bike shops?)Hiflow #151 Oilfilter

•Airfilter - R230 from BMW for cheaper air filter (as I won't be riding the dusty Dakar in the near future).

•Sparkplugs - R25p/p   ( that is for the DR8EA, any idea where i can get the little screws??)

•Engine oil - R165(Castrol Activeo?)

Advice will be appreciated.
