I have a problem with coolant water dissapering. This is my third 990 and the others did not do this. I have flushed and changed coolant often. The bike has 65000 on her now and this is not a new problem, she has done this for the last 40000 kilos, and I live with it but i dont understand where the water is going.
a/ about every 600kilos I need to top up the bottle by about 200ml,
b/ get warmer in traffic or technical stuff, the bars go to the top or one away from top. ( normal for the 990 but this bike more that the others)
c/ fan comes on as should. ( bar 5 on gauge)
d/ no water in oil, checked and changed every 1000 kilos (no water in oil),
e/ all hoses clean and all clamps checked no leaks, Radaitor removed checked by silverton no fault.
f/ oil changed every 5000k
g/ motor never opened, and runs like she was brand new, no noises or problems.
(Andrew) or Wd's please advise, do you think it could be a simple thing like the radaitor cap or worse like leaking at a head joint.
