Advenure riding on dirt to out of the way places seems ever more popular. My wife has been riding pillion for about 2yrs on my BMW 1200 and whereas before she hated the BMW Funduro, she loves the 1200. She does not want to ride her own bike. I don't have garaging for 2 bikes....now the question.....I am doing more and more adventure dirt road type riding to out of the way places and had the misfortune to ride my son's 950 adv in the Cederberg! The bike is really planted and I felt much more confident on the rocky and sandy stuff. Do any wild dogs have experience ie. many k's or yrs with a pillion on a 990? Is the torque a factor? What did the second half have to say esp wrt. feeling comfortable and safe? What about the long distances to get there, are the BMW GSA faring and electonic aids too much to sacrifice?
