We recently did a trip to Lesotho and part of the planning was to ride from Semongkong to Katse Dam (see ,gdb file attached).
We were however advised by the guys at Semonkong Lodge that there is basically no shortcut route and that one should follow the A5 till it meets up with the A3. There had apparently been a route at some stage but according to them not doable with bikes or 4 x 4. Looking on Google Earth during planning it looked pretty doable.
Who has done it and any advice
