Air filter foam

I am looking at the air filter of the Triumph I am busy rebuilding. It has a K&N air filter in it. I like the K&N because it is reusable but it is a high flow performance filter. So I want to make a pre-filter which I can oil so I don't get dust and stuff in my engine. Question: what kind of foam can I use which does not deteriorate with the filter oil and fuel environment and where can I find it in Cape Town? Cheers Lars 084 3829505
