Any idea what this is?

Morning all

When i bought my bike from centurion yamaha, i received a box with the original parts that had been removed to make way for the way better after-market mods.

Now, i was going through this box last night and came across the below item...i have no idea what it is (but i know one of the dogs will know exactly what it is)

My guess is that its something to do with the air filter? im a bit worried that this part should be on the bike, not in a box at home?
