Morning All
ok, so here`s my issue, i am faaaaar from technical and wanted to get the advise of the more knowledgeable ;D
i own a yamaha xt 660 Tenere, i commute daily on it, and so last week friday, i rode to work with no problems at all, but when it came time to ride home the bike wouldnt start, all the lights came on, but when i hit the starter is just made a "duck bark" sound. got her jump started but all the way home she was backfiring and jerking like crazy! got home, and tried to start her again, but the exact same problem.
She is at Yamaha now, and im assuming its a battery or alternator issue? and also does anyone have any idea how much either one of those will set me back (so that i can know if im getting ripped off when i get the call from Yamaha)
Any and all advise would be greatly appreciated ???
Edit - ok just heard back from Yamaha, dead battery ... a whooping R335! hahahaha
must say i have had GREAT service from them!
