I am finishing up a work contract in Tanzania at the beginning of July and want to ride a motorbike home! My intention is to take as many ferries (MV Liemba, as I can along the way. BUT, I am nervous as heck because a) I haven't ridden long distance EVER and actually have VERY LITTLE riding experience b) I am using a small, teeny-tiny motorbike (what is referred to as a picky-picky here - Chinese 125 - but I figure if that is what the locals use, that is what works) c) I am doing it alone
So, with all these disadvantageous, I thought: Why not contact as many bike clubs along the way, to set up meeting points and maybe have some folk ride bits of the way with me? But, please, give me some advise on how to do this. Any help or suggestions will be appreciated.
