On Sunday 2 Feb a group of us started a cycling trip from stellenbosch to George on dirt roads as far as possible but we had to use Helshoogte and Franschoek passes . We had breakfast halfway down Franschoek pass , Theewaterskloof dam side . When we left our support driver stayed behind to pack the stuff back in our bus . Groups of bikers passed us al the time both directions . She took long to reach us and when she did she was in shock. When she rounded a corner a truck was blocking her line , standing still and a biker was under the truck . He came from the front and overshot the corner . The driver of the truck was too shocked to get under the truck so she did it . Initially the rider was not moving and then moved his hand . There was no cell reception and another biker who arived rode off to phone . She stayed with the rider some more noticing that he lost a boot . He then complained about chest pain and the one leg was bleeding . She had to leave to catch up with us .
She was in shock for a few days and she would like to know if there is any news on the guy obviously hoping for good news .
It happened at about 9 am.
