Just received the shocking news that a chap we knew well, Arno died yesterday afternoon whilst riding his Dakar to his farm in Philippi.
Apparently he may well have had a drink.... but the word is that he basically lost control of the bike and drifted into oncoming traffic.

Arno was well liked and was the owner of the Sidewalk Cafe here in Devil's Peak/ Vredehoek area.

RiP matey -

just shows that alcohol and vehicles do not mix!  :-[
