Herro Pilgrims,

Since it is almost the weekend, a handy riding tip I learnt whilst trying my hand at Rallying, taught by a famous Zimbo by the name of Robbie Rushforth.

Picture you are in a corner in unfamiliar territory and not sure which way the road buggers off to......
You are in a panic because your ego has made you go into the corner way too fast. You just HAD to show your muckers just how quick you are on your Bimmeryamasuzikawa. You feel you are going taste some farmland on this hard to find apex......but your instinct, training (and your ego) say you cannot bleed off the speed by touching the brakes. What now?
Simply look further forward through the corner (because we all know you have forgotten your training and you're looking at he road in front of you) the new trick.......LOOK UP! What you are looking for is the line of the trees or the telegraph/electricity poles. They will instantly tell you the flow of the road and the extent of the curve.
Better still apply this trick before you get into the corner, this tells you how the corner flows and how sharp (or not) the corner is.
Once you get into the habit you'll be amazed how smoother and quicker you are through the unknown bends and corners.
This applied to both dirt and tar, Dirt roads typically have tree lines each side, use them.

Have a safe weekend folks, ride safe and watch the Friday lurkers on the road today!
