My wife (chief planner) has asked a few random questions about our route, but I thought I would post the entire trip here. Ay feedback, advise, input would be great!
We're shipping our bike from CT to JHB. Leaving JHB on the 1st June. Riding KTM1190r, 1 bike with pillion.
Day 1: JHB - Stevensford Game Reserve
Day 2: Stevensford - Letlhakane
Day 3: Letlhakane - Planet Baobab (hoping to cut across the pans from Mmatshumo village as per Clintons (Kwa Nokeng) advise) ???
Day 4: Day off @ Planet Baobab - Salt Pans trip
Day 5: Planet Baobab - Khwai Bedouin Camp (just north of Mababe)
Day 6: Day off @ Khwai
Day 7: Khwai - Tshima bush camp (Maun)
Day 8: Tshima - Ngepi Camp (Caprivi strip) ***How's this border crossing?
Day 9: Day off @ Ngepi
Day 10: Ngepi - Namushasha camp OR Nkasa Lupala tented camp
Day 11: Namushasha - Chobe safari lodge
Day 12: Day off @ Chobe safari lodge
Day 13: Possibly a trip to vicfalls *** What is the best way to ride there?
Day 14: Day off Vic Falls if we do that part???
Day 15: Vic falls - Elephant sands *** Keen to ride a bit of Hunters Road if we come from Kasane. Google maps brings me back down to Pandamatenga. Are these roads allowed by bike (Zim side)?
Day 16: Elephant sands - Francistown ***any good stayovers???
Day 17: Francistown - Stevensford Game reserve OR Kwa Nokeng
Day 18: Kwa Nokeng - JHB
