I've been wondering about this. Actually I have been wondering about alota things, but this is one of them...
Went through Namibia last year without one and survived. Now planning on doing Mozambique and seeing that my budget, riding gear and experience has all grown, I'm considering to get one. But then, am I gonna use it? When I ride, I probably stop every 20/30 min to take a quick rest, stretch the legs, check on the bike, wait for the rest of the group or whatever. So I have the opportunity to drink water then. I don't even think about drinking when I'm riding, so I might even forget about this on my back.
I have a backpack but I don't like riding with the thing on my back. If I get a camelback, it must be small, very small. Is it worth it?
