Hope this isn't appearing twice - my browser is doing strange things... ???
I'm planning a roadtrip to the Cedarberg with Pillion in about two weeks time.
Does anyone know what this stretch of road (BLUE bit on the google earth screenshot) from "Stadsaal" area to Wuppertal is like? Tracks4Africa indicates it as "gravel", as opposed to "4x4" indicated for some of the other roads in the area.
The planned route for the first day (EARLY start) is as follows: Stellenbosch - Wellington - Ceres - Citrusdal (via R303) - Algeria - Wuppertal (via "Stadsaal" area).
I calculated that to be about 200kilos tar + 140kilos gravel. I'm just a bit worried about that last (blue on screenshots) bit.
Has anyone done this stretch before? Any tips / advice will be greatly appreciated!!
