Hi Guys
I'm new at Adventure riding and haven't done a long trip yet.
I'm planning to fly up to Gauteng sometime in August to go fetch my KLR that I bought there recently & ride it back to Cape Town (solo at this stage).
I'm a not really experienced in roadside bike repairs and heavy off-road riding (sure I can handle gravel road though) but would like to ride a relatively scenic route if possible. I'd like to do between 350km and 500km per day, making it a 3-4 day trip.
Was thinking to maybe take the N12 instead of the N1 and am looking for places to overnight.
I've got some camping gear and would like to keep the trip low-budget.
Any suggestions of places to stay or alternative routes to take?
Also any suggestions of what to include in a basic toolkit for the trip (I know this is not really the section for this, but suggestions would be apppreciated) ?
