Electrics, more especially electronics are not my forte at all, but I thought that to temporarily install a 12v  cigarette socket would be a doodle, and it was, except that it's buggered up the clock. For power, I connected to the starter terminal, which of course stopped the clock. No problem, I simply reset it, but now it stops every time the ignition is switched off, and starts again from 0:00every time. Gimme a clue please guys?

(BTW, I fitted a cheap ciggie socket because I'm too tight to buy the proper connection for the existing one)
