ContiEscape and Shinko tyres?

I usually run Annakees on my KLR which I am very happy with, but I am looking for something a bit more suited to gravel and sand, but with good tar wet/dry handling. Has anybody had any experience with these tyres:
ContiEscape at R1,600 fitted and Shinko's at R1,300 fitted?
