As you all know, Country TRAX Grand Central is hosting a monthly outride for the last 16 months or so, and since inception we were pleasantly surprised by the support and attendance we receive from the Wild Dogs. :thumleft:
Yesterday was no exception. It was a cold morning, and I was thankful for having heated grips on the BMW. :deal: I saw 2.5 degrees riding past Rietvlei Dam, and thought by myself that this will be a small group ride. Well, I was wrong! As I rode into the fore-court of the Engen garage at R21 Office Park, Irene all I saw was bikes. Bikes filling up, bikes parked all over. I even saw Harleys ??? :.
Final count = 24 bikes, 26 people. BIG group = lots of dust = plenty of waiting. All true except the plenty waiting, wow what a great group of people. They were there to RIDE :ricky: and not to :sip:. Respect! :thumleft:
After the "formalities" of who leads and who sweeps and what to do when we turn, we departed. We headed out towards the trusty rail roads, with a detour to skip the new rocks along a portion of the rail road.
We had some fun sections...
... but most of the ride was on good dirt.
We had frequent re-group stops to ensure that everyone stayed with the group.
We even had a water crossing!! In the middle of JULY!! >
The last picture is one of my favourites. :thumleft:
We ended at Rafters for a drink and bite.
Thanks to all who joined in. :thumleft:
See you all again next month. :ricky:
