CT to Bots

Ive been toying with the idea recently of taking some time off work next year maybe 2 months or so and doing a lekker long ride. So far Im sort of settled on botswana but thinking of maybe going further up the coast as well. At this point in time there is no real set date as I still need to see when grego can get off work as well.

Ive done loads of Nam in my dads landi but never on a bike so would be keen on any suggestions you guys have, do I need carnets, inusrance all that jazz?
