Dear fellow 1150'riders, I need your input please.
On 78k the big roller bearing disintegrated after a trip through the Cederberge, usual load, solo. The bearing was replaced and 7k later the same happened.
I made use of BMW's two year guarantee offer and 10k later after a service noticed some fine metal grit draining the drive shaft oil.
Hamman Motorrad has closed down, however BMW will repair what's needed (exl labour cost) free BUT why does the bearing(s) keep running down/failing?
Bent drive shaft or housing?
