Hi people what say you ? Does tyres get old when stored away in the garage unused ?
Reason for my question, I have two slightly used TKC front tyres stowed awya now for about 5 years. I am considering to fit one tomorrow at the front of the Adventure to be a bit more sure footed on the dirt and mud terrain on route to the bash.
Does anyone know if the tyres get old to the point where they are unsafe ? I have heard before that for cars they consider 5 years as old, and suggest replacement.
You re input will be appreciated, or a link if this has been discussed before. Let me be upfront about this that if its not advisable , I will definitely just by a new tyre tomorrow, as I dont put a price on me and the wifes safety. :thumleft:
