Way back I travelled many times with a top box on dirt. It never came off, maybe it was just luck. These days a prefer soft luggage.
So, I need a tail bag with rigid sides, the size of my Vario top box. Can’t find, the Desert Fox one is just too small, and the biggerOxford Givi one is a whopping R4000 plus. So I am considering using the top box, and add a strap over it to reduce shaking.
Is this a bad idea (for dirt roads)?
