Encouragement needed

I'm needing some encouragement please.
My dad saw my new bike yesterday for the 1st time. He liked my Vuka 200 and knows how excited I've been with my DR the last few weeks. Anyhow after I'd started her etc he told my hubby he thinks the bike is a monster for his little girl!!!

I love my DR but I'm now scared I've bitten off more than I should be chewing.  :-\
Nearly came short on little bit of dirt we did last week.    So I'm a bit nervous at the mo to add insult to injury.
I not too short 1,75 m. But lack arm strength you guys have. Dunno if thats an issue though.
What do you folk think?
