For some reason some bikes just never catch on. And it certainly does not mean they are bad bikes, maybe just underrated or net well known. Few I can think off :
Yamaha TT600R, mostly sold in Australia and Europe. Yamaha's XR ?
Kawasaki KLR250. My friend had one, only bike I have ever ridden that cannot spin it's back wheel on dirt ;D Reliable and does the job, like I read on ADVrider "you need 18 hp to ride around the world, the rest is wheelspin"
Suzuki DR350, followed up by the DRZ 400. A good allrounder with decent suspension and knarly offroad ability.
Kawasaki KLX 650
They had all the ingrients but never managed to compete with the XR650
KTM 625 LC, never as popular as the Adventure but still a ver capable machine
Please add to the list ....
