Bike
Suzuki DL 650 V-Strom
the lever jammed again and now I am waiting for a new part from Suzuki SA. I have asked the mechanic at Suzuki to open the motor and to replace any part that may require changing. the purpose is to be able to offer a bike to someone with the full confidence that it is 100% in every sense. So I am putting it on hold for a few weeks - parts take a while from Suzuki. When completely sorted and ready to roll - I will put it back into the market.

Sorry for any inconvenience caused to the many many interested buyers. the wait will be worthwhile. :thumleft:

I am immigrating to Spain and it is with a heavy heart that I put this up for sale. Despite the current decomp issue which is now being resolved by Suzuki agent and an awesome mechanic.

My Current Diagnosis
Based upon my previous experiences I would gather that the loss of compression is due to  something not right with the decompression lever, either with the mechanism jamming or misalignment or possibly some wear ( but with 29 000km I don’t think so). Now sorted by Suzuki agent. The leak is due to misaligned feeder pipe/ incorrect O ring.
See post further down - it appears that the incorrect adjustment of the decomp lever could result in the above in valve staying open and therefore no compression.

Looking forward to your responses. This is a great bike. I am sorry to see it go. I would hold onto it but circumstances prevent me from doing so.
