Fuel near Rhodes

We're planning a few days riding around Rhodes in the Eastern Cape in June.  I am concerned about the availability of fuel.  Are there any suggestions or experiences anyone can assist with?  I see the nearest town is Barkly East which is a bit out of the way and in the wrong direction.
