Garmin updates

Now that Garmap is no longer, does anyone know how will the updates work from hereon. I have tried finding out from Garmin but it was not very clear. Will I still buy a DVD and purchase a license? apparently it will be very costly?

If there is anyone who knows I will like to know. I have a Nuvi 500 and a 200 which I like to keep updated. Don't smaak to sukkel.
