Good afternoon all

My Dakkie recently would not start or even to attempt to turn the engine. All lights were on and it did not seem as if it was the battery. GeVarlik had a look and found that the starter button broke, the black plastic part on the inside of the grey happy button... I super glued it, bit it did not do the trick, too much pressure, to many things happening and too thin a piece of plastic to mend, it keeps on breaking.

I then went to BMW to get a price, they don't sell that button by itself only the whole unit, and it costs R1700... It's a bit insane paying R1700 just to have a small plastic button replaced.

Does anybody have advise on where to get one? Or maybe have one for sale? Or perhaps a different solution all together?
