Ok, so I placed the order for our first GS650, with a low seat for the missus - on the understanding that we will only buy if she can touch the ground.
Does anyone have any info on this 'low seat', it is obviously a shock mod, do they adjust the side stand accordingly? What does this do to the bike and its off-road ability besides the obvious ground clearance. what about tar riding at speed? Any info welcome
Next plan - my toy, so I have narrowed it down to the GS standard or Dakar, I can just touch the ground when sitting on the Dakar, and I mean just. would it be better to look at the standard GS
The bikes will be used for commuting but I am buying them for overlanding in Africa, nothing too hectic on every run but need to be able to handle on off road tracks etc...
