Thought that I will start with the good news. Pieter is okay. He got knocked down on Ruiteweg this morning close to Laerskool Wierdapark. I don't know him. Just stopped to help. He got a sore back, ankle and probably broken right wrist. The women turned over the white line to skip the traffic and ride in the service lane.
He rode a red 650 vStrom. Gearlever and left indicator broken and some cosmetic scratches. It looks like he was quite slow when it happend. The ambulance took him to the hospital.
For everybody that travels that road, watch out for this white line crossing. Especially when there is traffic. There is a lot of people that do this. I have seen this happening even if there is no traffic. People trying to skip the robot.
