Cracked my rear Header pipe, badly.
Due to a missing graphite seal in the knuckle. As can be seen in the 2nd pic the pipe is loose in the knuckle and rattled with results - fatique stress on the bend section.
I can either weld this but I think this would crack again. Anybody else with this porblem? did you weld this with success. I can fabricate a new one but the bend radius would moslt likely be sharped, increasing flow resistance and adding heat.... ? again anyone out ther fabricated a new header pipe, bend sharpen than OEM?
Bottomline, check your graphite seals !! I noticed my bike was louder but I also have a leaking akropovic thus I assumed this was my akro leaking...meantime my seal was gone.
