OK, so this is my first post, been looking at this site for a while and decided to come in from the cold and join!
I am in the process of selling my superbike (GSXR1000K5) coz I am getting too old for that stuff (and trackdays are getting boring, expensive and risky) and buying a dual-purpose machine.
Been riding a KX450F for about a year and just not been inspired to mount the GSXR since then.
Same old boring question then....
KTM or BMW? I want to commooooot when Eskom starts load-shedding again (2 hours to work and 2 back home in a car almost drove me to drink!) but also want to have a blast on weekends - not necessarily travelling too far (my wife is not too keen on riding pillion, and we have two babies which kinda keeps her busy!).
Anyone here ride a KTM950SE? Any good for commuting and weekend fun? Maybe to ride down to Lesotho or up to Bots?
