Hi Guys I recently joined this group and have been rebuilding a 1983 Xt600 34l Tenere. I have completely rebuilt the bike, rebored ,new piston rings etc. I sourced a secondhand set of gears as my output shaft and 3rd and 5th gears were damaged. After its first test ride I now have a problem where it won't select 3rd or 4th. I found out the gearsets were assembled from several different sets.
I am desperately looking for a set of reasonable condition gears possibly a spares engine. I can even use the bottom end of a xt550. I am unfortunately on a very very tight budget as this has happened at the end of my build! Can anyone help me so I can finish my dream bike.
