Honda has had a big price increase on their bikes, most problably due to the weak Rand. The problem is that a small bike like a CRF230 now sell for 40k, which I think is just a tad to much for such a small bike.
The big problem is that this increase was not inflation driven, meaning that altough the bikes cost more, we as consumers still pay with money that wasnt really effected by inflation. We didnt earn more in the same time when everything seems to be going up. I think maufacturers are in for a tough time, because this will hurt sales.
Will have to wait until they realize this, drop their prices and then maybe look for a new bike?!
