Hello wild dogs!
I have just finished my two month adventure. My Transalp has reliably carried me for over 10,000 kilometres and now it is time to sell it. See the travel report section for more info on the trip: https://wilddog.net.za/forum/index.php?topic=148047.0
The 2005 Honda Transalp 650 has just over 52000km on the clock. Since I want to sell quickly, I am only asking for R36,500, including all accessories. I am offering the following accessories:
- bash plate
- the original windscreen in addition to the installed larger one
- custom exhaust
- top case with extra dampening
- orange headlight cover
- spare set of rear indicators (the originals)
- tools set
- medium duty spare tubes, front and back, unused
- instruction manual
- service history
- 12V plug
It did a great job, especially off the tar. It has a large amount of space under the seat. I was able to fit most of the spares and first aid there. The top case is fixed tightly for shaky dirt roads. With the current set of tyres the bike maxes out at 160km/h. Petrol consumption is around 7l/100km from a 19l tank.
This bike has reliably taken me through South Africa, up Sani Pass, through back country Lesotho, Zim, Zam and Namibia. And I hope that it will carry the next owner even further.
I have an ad on gumtree with pictures and contact info and so on. Please let me know if you want to know anything else.
