How Old is Old for GS1200

I have my GS1200 now for 3 months with 8500 Km on the clock

Plan to do approx 35k km per year.

Being a normal guy I am financing my bike over 3 years. When it is "mine" it will have more than 120K on the clock.

Question: What is the life expectancy of this bike. Could  I expect to ride it for 5 years or 200 k km?

When is the best time to trade a bike like this. It seems that most are traded under 40k km?

Are there any high mileage bikes out there?
