Ok so i have only tested this on my TomTom start south.

Basically you just need to copy a few files over to the unit, and then switch the unit on go to options en choose options -> advanced -> Log position to itinerary -> and then repeat and choose Tripmaster.

You actually have to start 2 separate programs for this to work, the reason is that with the newer firmware present on the TomTom they changed the way the screen refreshes anyway long story short, works but can be dangerous so make a backup of your unit beforehand!!!

ok now for the files:

https://www.webazar.org/tomtom/apps/tripmasterv30/tripmaster_v3.1.zip

The logging files can be saved in either .GPX or .KML files

This is a cool solution for some-one on a tight budget but who would still like to be able to log their journeys.

It is also advisable to read the user manual for tripmaster:
BUT DO NOT TRY TO DOWNLOAD THEIR SOLUTION TO THE SCREEN REFRESH PROBLEM SINCE IT LOCKED MY UNIT UP!!!

PS there is some other nice apps for the TOMTOM on this site!
