Good day Dogs,
After months of lurking, I finally decided to join. And now, many weeks after that, here is my introduction.
My first exposure to motor bikes was in my national service days, in 79 to 81 and the current phase started a year ago when I bought the KLR. I use the bike mostly to work, a round trip of about 30 kilo's a day and occasionally to visit family in Mpumulanga. I have been on one longish trip that ended prematurely after 1 day when I crashed, damaging my shoulder. I have had two subsequent operations to repair rotator cuff injuries and will hopefully be fit and able again in a short while when I hope to do further trips.
What else? I am 49 years old, have a gorgeous wife, two daughters at UCT, two Scotties and two cats.
And oh, I play golf, not as well nor as often as I'd like to but a lot better than fellow dog 'africankSky'.
I think the forum is brilliant, love the banter, ride reports etc, ama-zing!
