Hoping to get some pointers of a possible route in the Sutherland area from those that know the area better than myself. Love the Karoo but have never explored this area.
We will be heading out from Wellington, slabbing it to Sutherland early morning Saturday next week. From there as much desolate gravel as possible to one of the smaller towns like Williston or Fraserburg to a overnight stop. Next day some more gravel to allow us to still get back before dark.
Any suggestions on worthwhile routes to take? Not too keen on crazy distances but maybe a circle route around Sutherland that can drop us back onto the horrible N1 on the Sunday for a run home.
Also, recommendations on accom options in the area would be great
