KlR 650 Or Transalp 650

Hi  guys

I'm looking at buying a dual purpose bike in the area of R40000.
The two types of bikes I'm intrested in is the 2009-2010 KLR and the 2005-2007 transalp 650 which both go round about R40k srecond hand with low km.

I need Pros and cons from outsiders point of view and a reason why you say so?
I'm going to use it for traveling south Africa which includes 50tar/50dirt along with our neighbour countries and up Africa.

Help me please to make a decision.
