As Joe Rocket put it: "Ons gaan bietjie kom kuier en jou plek oorneem!"
The same silly bunch, and a few new ones pulled into my friendly watering hole on Friday afternoon, for Saturday's ride with the Moto Avontuur guys of Mouton van Zyl from Greyton to Baardskeerdersbos via Riviersonderend, Napier, Elim and a sleepover at Baardskeerdersbos, known as B-bos to the locals, home of the infamous Manie Boontjie of the Baardskeersbos-orkes.
Beautiful weather, we sat quietly outside....
We were graced with a back-up vehicle supplied and specially sign-writed by by Joe Rocket, aptly dubbed "Flash"!
as you know, as KTM riders, we might just need it!
Then the dreaded dices came out!
with the right strapdop of course!
some just couldn't get it right!
Then, as the strapdoppe started doing its thing, it has turned some into movie caracters...."My name is Darth Vader, master of the Dark Side......" (Katoom)
.......no, sorry, its John Travolta!
Goeie tye, geld kan hierdie kak nie koop nie!
Joe Rocket & Mrs Uil
Kat and Mrs Kat
Volstruis (Flash's driver), Otto and Joe Rocket
Then of course Katoom had to leave his mark in Zanzibar as well....
Volstruis: "...die PYN, Nicki, die PYN!"
Mrs Uil, Buys and a totally disinterested Katoom!
No pics of the ride to B-bos, but then again, in true fashion, Joe Rocket's bike gets carried into the Strandveld Pub through the kitchen.....
........and into the pub.....
....and we all know what is about to happen....again!
Pirelli Scorpion showing the evidence!
The rest of us left our marks on the bar counter!
Don't worry, it was done with a wipe-off board marking pen!
The very friendly staff at Strandveld Pub & Venue in B-bos.
So we went off to Struisbaai to stay there, as it was only our (Kat's) job to show the route, and we left B-bos. We all had to go, as Flash, who carried our luggage, had to rush to aid a friend with a new BMW HP2 with drive shaft failure......must've looked cool....an HP2 on a trailer behind a KTM support vehicle...hehehehehe!
En route to Struisbaai, Katoom with Kat in hot pursuit.
Nice wheelie there Katoom!
Kat
After another great night with loads of fun and games, we returned home!
Viva KTM!
