OK, so I'm in the BMW camp, but read an article in the Superbike mag, 1200GS vs 990SMT vs 1200 Multi. They plugged the KTM, no idea why tho...
I like the idea of the KTM (V twin), but in my mind the after sales service and generally KTM in SA is a bit KARK. I'm talking the dealer network, NOT the bikes.
I know with BMW, they treat me really well, I would not expect that from KTM...
Is this truth or preception?
BTW, the Duc is just too expensive, to buy and to own IMO
PS. I've also heard KTM 950/990 are blerry heavy on fuel....
The GSA gave me about 17-20 km/liter on a run down to St Lucia, I thought that was reasonable.
