Hey dogs,
We will be going on a long-ish ride on Saturday the 18th. Leaving at 5h30 from Hillcrest.
Planning to turn off at Ashburton on to the dirt and detour around Pmb heading towards Abert Falls. Hopefully meet up with JonW/Outhere and other Howick/Pmb dogs.
Dirt up to Howick area then through the Karkloof to Craigieburn dam. Then to Middlesrus , Muiden, Greytown and Kranskop. Drop down into an unnamed Valley and back towards Wartburg and then Nagel Dam and Cato Ridge.
The ride should'nt be too technical, dirt roads mainly BUT we are going to have to haul to cover the distance. Will be tricky if it rains. 350 to 450km for the day. Pillions welcome but must be competent due to the distances and speed.
I am planning to do a stop at the less known Mooi River Falls wich should be spectacular with all the rains of late.( Thanks Jon)
Snacks will be needed although depending on time we might be able to fit in a lunch around Greytown...... Perhaps/ Depending on the weather........ wether we make it or not....haha
