We are planning a ride to Lesotho, entering from Wepener, riding to Semonkong, taking the "donkey route" from just outside Semonkong down to Qachas Neck. From there up North to Thaba Tseka and down Sani.

The trip is planned for the last weekend in October.

Has anybody done the "donkey route"? From what I hear it is quite challenging in places and crossing the Senqu river twice is difficult. A friend has done this with a 4x4, reports lots of rocks and that it MIGHT be easier on a bike.

Anyone agree? Any comments?

Input would be appreciated.
