Although not the best of starts - I finally got my 1200.
Big shout out and thanks to [member=27175]petri oosthuizen[/member] (and Jomar) - Wat 'n great mens! Sorted me with finance, went out of his way to go and view the bike, borrowed me his bike trailer and even gave me a book on adventure riding through Africa. Thanks weereens [member=27175]petri oosthuizen[/member]!
So, on collection - I was so overwhelmed that i did not notice the front shock was moertoe. The bike had 34500km on the clock. I took the bike to Justin at Motorrad Tech (thanks to the forum members for a good reference) for its 40k service. While offloading the bike, Justin immediately noticed the shock issue. The shock was sent to [member=6354]BlingKing[/member] for a rebuild. Both these guys are pure experts in what they are doing.
Together with the service (and shock rebuild) - I fitted a set of Dunlop Trailmax Missions. Still early days, but they seem to fit my mix of riding.
Looking forward to my time with this bike....
