Cant say I'm much of a biker chick, only started riding in 2005 - I had no choice, it was either to get the knitting needles out or saddle up and join hubby and son out-and-about !
I now ride a x-country, cant say we have quite bonded. I started off on a Zonchen 200, even went through Baviaans twice on 'my little tractor'. I dont mean to make it sound like I just hopped on and merrily scooted through the kloof, it was blood, sweat and beers and my language upgraded from 'oh my goodness' to WTF and OMG to OMF... but come end of day no words can explain what an achievement that was for me.
In feb this year my x-country decided to toss me a good couple of metres down the road (on tar not even gravel). Hopefully the replacement (thanks to the insurance) will treat me better.
By the way, hubby always introduces me as My Wife - forgets I have a name.
